Continuing Permitting and Inspection Activities During COVID-19
Options for AHJs to consider for safely permitting and inspecting clean energy systems during the COVID-19 pandemic
As the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, building departments across the country were faced with the challenging question of how to safely continue operations. This document outlines options that AHJs can consider to enable the continued safe operation of building department staff while ensuring the safety of installations.
At the time these resources were published, SEAC and its partners also presented a webinar in which AHJs around the country shared insights on the protocols they were using to continue permitting and inspection activities during the pandemic shutdown, including video inspections and online permitting tools. A recording of that webinar can be viewed here.
On April 6, 2020, SEAC hosted a webinar on this topic. You can view the recorded webinar here.
